Clothing
This should
be RECOGNISED TENNIS CLOTHING (Whites are not compulsory).
Correct tennis shoes should also be worn. NON-MARKING SOLES
ARE ESSENTIAL.
Court
Bookings In Advance
These
cannot be made for personal social tennis, but if courts are
available they may be used on the understanding that club
matches have priority and you may be asked to vacate the court(s).
A court reservation book is located in the main clubhouse
and you are advised to consult this to check availability.
If there is a queue for personal use of a court, then court
rotation should be adopted, e.g. one set on - one off.
Times
of Play
You may
play at any time from 9am except when the courts are booked
for matches or for the following social/coaching sessions.

Tennis
Sections
You may
wish to consider which section of the club is appropriate
for you if you do want to play at the club social sessions.
| Section |
Guide |
| Beginners |
If
you are a beginner and are unable to serve or sustain
a reasonable rally then it is recommended that you should
take advantage of the coaching available from the club
coaches Mark Lugli (Tel: 07740 587707) and Mark Love (tel:
020 8668 5250). |
| Intermediate |
The
intermediate section consists of improving players of
various standards but who could not be characterised
as 'strong'. If you are in doubt about the strength
of your ability this is the section you should start
in and if it transpires that you are of a higher standard
you can apply to move to the senior section.
The
intermediate social tennis is played on Thursday evenings
during the Spring and Summer from approximately 6:30pm
and Sunday from approximately 2:30pm.
On
the first Saturday of each month, Intermediates are
invited to attend Senior sessions so that they may judge
the level of their progress.
|
| Senior |
This
is the section for good standard players of mixed ability
nevertheless they will generally have a good range of
shots, can serve well and sustain rallies.
Senior
social tennis is played on Wednesday evening in Spring
and Summer from approximately 6pm and Saturday from
approximately 2pm. We also encourage Seniors to play
at the Intermediate sessions to help improve their standard.

club house diary as and when arranged. Match practice sessions
are arranged early on in the season. Attendence is by invitation.
